The Arizona Kids Chance of Arizona has a shcolarship fund for students who have a parent that was injured on the job. To qualify, the parent's work-related injury or death must have led to a substantial decline in family income. The applicant must be between the ages of 16 and 25 and meet academic standards set by Kid's Chance of Arizona. The scholarship is good for one semester. There will be free workshops for parents of College bound High School students being held during the month of May. The workshop focuses on ways of getting money for College regardless of your income. There will be classes on how to double or even triple your eligibility for free grant money. The workshop in being taught by J.D. Wyczalek, author of "Everything your guidance counselor was afraid to tell you or didn't know" The workshop will be Thursday, May 22nd & Tuesday, May 27th at 7:15pm until 8:40pm at the Desert Broom Library in Cave Creek.
